Breeder agrees to transfer over PET ONLY rights and responsibilities associated with the ownership of this puppy. This warranty and guarantee represent the entire agreement between the Breeder and Buyer in an outright sale. The balance of $2,330 is due on or before the puppy pickup day. By signing this contract, the Buyer agrees that they are 100% satisfied with the puppy they have been matched with, their puppy’s temperament type, energy level and overall adoption experience with Silver Star Doodles. This contract states that you agree to all the above and all of the conditions set forth below. The Stud owner will receive a copy of this signed contract and proof of spay/neuter.

General Health Guarantee Terms

Breeder guarantees this puppy to be in good health and to the best of our knowledge, free from any congenital defects at the time of purchase, and any issues raised from our vet check have been disclosed and discussed. The Buyer is invited to have this puppy examined by a veterinarian within 3 business days of receiving this puppy, if the buyer fails to take this puppy to the veterinarian within the specified time, then the Buyer agrees this puppy was in good health at the time of purchase. If the Buyer’s veterinarian finds this puppy to have any serious or chronic health issues, the buyer may immediately return the puppy along with the report and diagnosis issued by the veterinarian and the Breeder will offer a full refund of the purchase price.

Seven Day Return Policy

Buyer may also request to return this puppy for any reason for a refund, minus the deposit of $1,000 within 7 days of signing this contract. We would highly recommend you giving your puppy longer than a week to settle in and fully transition before deciding they may not be the right fit for you, feel free to talk to us. All travel expenses to return the puppy will be the responsibility of the Buyer.

Two Year Genetic Health Warranty

Breeder guarantees this puppy is free of any hereditary or congenital defects to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale. A warranty is provided for two years from the birthdate of this puppy for any hereditary congenital defects that would cause the dog to lose quality of life before the age of five years, shortening their life span. All medical documentation of diagnosis and records must be provided to the breeder directly from the licensed veterinarian specialist who examined and diagnosed the puppy/dog and they also must be willing to provide and confirm in writing that it is considered an inherited genetic disorder, defect or disease. Genetic eye diseases must be documented and diagnosed by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist. Genetic Heart Diseases must be diagnosed by a Veterinary Cardiologist, diagnosis by the buyer’s general practice veterinarian alone will not be accepted by the Breeder as proof. Buyer will be refunded half the purchase price of this puppy in total.

Hip Dysplasia Warranty

A Warranty for Hip Dysplasia is provided for two years from the birthdate of this puppy. If this puppy is diagnosed with hip dysplasia, the Buyer must provide OFA or PennHIP certified x-rays proving a genetic Hip Dysplasia diagnosis. All hip testing to be done at Buyer’s expense. Breeder will not honour a diagnosis from the buyer’s licensed veterinarian, the hip x-ray must be sent into the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) or PennHIP for a confirmation of the dysplasia diagnosis and a copy of the results must be sent directly from the OFA or PennHIP to the Breeder’s veterinarian. The Breeder will not accept documentation sent from the buyer only. The only reason we won’t accept a diagnosis from a general vet is because not all veterinarians are proficient at diagnosing hip dysplasia or positioning and/or scoring hip x-rays. We do not require the puppy/dog returned to us and we do not offer a replacement puppy. If a hip dysplasia diagnosis is confirmed, then Buyers will be refunded half the puppy’s purchase price. Buyer agrees to maintain their puppy at a healthy weight. The buyer agrees to postpone strenuous physical exercise until the puppy is over one year of age, as 80% of hip dysplasia is caused by improper exercise. This includes running with your puppy, treadmills, using stairs, strenuous hikes, jumping and sharp turns. However, the puppy needs safe, proper and necessary amounts of exercise, which is important for bone health and development. The Breeder is not responsible for any injuries sustained, illnesses contracted or death after transfer of the ownership to Buyer.

Health Warranty Limitations

This health warranty does not cover health issues that cannot be proven to be specifically inherited. Such as but not limited to: all types of cancer, viral illnesses, internal or external parasites (endoparasites), bacterial infections, fungal infections, skin disorders, diabetes, hernias, food or skin allergies, improper bites, base narrow canines, teeth issues, heart murmurs that are not congenital or are considered innocent, heart diseases that are not genetic, gastrointestinal or digestive issues, protozoal diseases like giardia, coccidia, urinary tract infections, endocrine issues, hypoglycemia, reactions to vaccines (leptospirosis), reactions to medications such as Bravecto, ear or eye infections. It also does not cover illnesses due to ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, stress related issues, behavioural issues, physical injuries and/or illnesses which may have occurred during or after transport to the Buyer.

This puppy, to the best of our knowledge, is in good health at the time of sale. Buyer will be made aware of any current or previous treatments prior to sale.

Spay and Neuter Contract

The Buyer agrees to spay/neuter this puppy between 6 months of age to 18 months of age, and proof of spay/neuter will be sent to Karen Smith at Silver Star Doodles within one month of this surgery. We recommend a later spay/neuter after 12 months of age as it is best for skeletal and joint health. The final decision on timing of this is between you and your vet, as long as it’s before the puppy turns 18 months old. The Buyer affirms this puppy is intended to be a pet only and they have no plans or intention of breeding this puppy in the future. The puppy is to be kept safe from breeding until surgery of spay or neuter. This puppy’s genetic and health guarantee would become null and void if the spay/neuter contract is violated, and a fee of $5,000 will be paid to Silver Star Doodles for every litter produced, and an additional $500 for each puppy sold will go to the stud owner, with a strict no breeding, spay/neuter contract signed for each puppy sold. This puppy is not meant to be a breeding dog.

Vaccinations, Vet Visit and Microchip

The Breeder guarantees this puppy at the time of purchase has received at least one set of the core canine vaccinations.  The Buyer has been provided with a vaccination record and any additional medical records at the time of purchase. Pups should visit the vet at 12 weeks and again at 16 weeks to be safe to put their four paws on the ground at 18 weeks. Your vet will discuss risks in your area and advise you what preventative vaccines are required. The Buyer agrees to keep puppy’s paws off any public surfaces until all age appropriate vaccines have been administered. Our deworming protocol is the following: Pups are dewormed at 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks for roundworms and hookworms (Strongid).  Puppies will be microchipped and come with 30-day free Health Insurance with Trupanion that the Buyer has to activate before or after 24 hours of pick up.

Temperament and Socialization

Between three weeks and sixteen weeks of age, puppies go through a “critical socialization period.” Breeder guarantees this puppy was born in our home and has been exposed to the sights and sounds of a busy family household. They have been raised with full access to their mother and littermates, following proper puppy protocols to give them the best start to life and help them be resilient and well socialised puppies. Once this puppy leaves our home it will be up to the Buyer to safely continue the socialization process. The Buyer agrees to continue their obedience training, there are many options, including training books, online options such as Youtube videos or classes with Amy at http://www.baxterandbella.com (feel free to use our 25% discount code: SILVERSTAR). Goldendoodles learn best with positive reinforcement training techniques.

Buyer’s Responsibilities

The Buyer agrees to house the puppy indoors in a safe and clean environment. The Buyer agrees to contact the seller immediately if the Buyer determines they are unable to keep their puppy for any reason. The Buyer agrees to notify of any change of address or telephone number, and to keep the Breeder updated on puppy’s progress. The Buyer and Breeder will together determine how the puppy will be rehomed. The Buyer agrees to never sell the puppy, or place the puppy with a rescue group, in a shelter, pound, puppy mill or similar facility or research laboratory.

Please keep in mind, these pups have been raised lovingly with their mother and littermates. Potty training accidents, teething and adolescence will happen, persistence, consistency and patience will get you through. In no time, you will have an amazing best friend to bring you joy! Thank you for giving Ruby’s puppy such a great home!

I have read and understand the stipulations of the contract and voluntarily agree to all elements, stipulations and provisions herein.
